Beginner and Intermediate Fly Fishing Courses

An all-inclusive one day course with instructor Ken Geddes

The course features basic casting (or advanced) instruction, a take-home course book, seminars, fishing and a BBQ lunch. All equipment is provided, but you may bring your own if you like.

Seminars cover how to choose equipment; rods, reels and lines. Also there is a workshop on common fly fishing knots used on a daily basis and there is a seminar on Fly selection. You will learn 5 basic casts and catch and release techniques. Everyone will catch fish.

The course runs from 9am to 5pm.
Price:    $175 per person plus GST (inquire about group rates)
    Juniors (under 16): $90 (must be accompanied by an adult)
    A $50 deposit is required for all participants
    Participants must bring a hat and sunglasses

Ken Geddes is an experienced fly fishing instructor who has been teaching for many years. He has also been very active in the Fly Fishing community and has garnered awards for his ongoing work in educational projects. Ken has appeared as a guest at symposiums and fly fishing clubs throughout Southern Ontario. He fishes both salt water and fresh water and maintains that all varieties of fish can be caught with a fly rod.
